Cookie Policy

This page lists what gets stored on your device and why. Last updated 29 July 2026.

Strictly necessary — set without consent

These are required for the converter to work at all, so they are exempt from consent requirements. They do not track you across sites.

ff_sidIdentifies your anonymous conversion session so the files you upload are the files returned to you. Contains a random identifier only — no personal data.Session, max 24 hours
ff_consentRemembers your cookie choices so you are not asked on every page. Stored in your browser's local storage rather than as a cookie.12 months

Advertising — set only after you consent

These are placed by Google when advertising is enabled. Nothing in this table is loaded until you accept; if you decline, the scripts that would set them are never added to the page.

Google may set additional cookies as its advertising products change. The authoritative, continuously updated list is published by Google at business.safety.google/adscookies.

Consent Mode

We implement Google Consent Mode v2. In practice this means the signals ad_storage, ad_user_data, ad_personalization and analytics_storage all start in a denied state before you make any choice, and are only updated to granted if you accept. This is the default for every visitor, in every country — not just where the law requires it.

What we do not use

No analytics cookies. No social media pixels. No A/B testing or personalisation cookies. No fingerprinting. If that ever changes, this page changes first and your consent will be requested again.

Changing your mind

Use the Cookie settings link in the footer of any page. You can accept everything, reject everything, or toggle the advertising category on its own. Rejecting takes effect immediately and stops the advertising scripts from loading on subsequent page views.

You can also clear cookies directly in your browser settings, and most browsers let you block third-party cookies entirely. Doing so will not break the converter — only the strictly necessary session cookie is required.
